Neck Pain

Your cervical spine is a complex, delicate part of your spinal mechanism, hosting various intricate anatomical structures.

Neck pain is a common condition that affects many people at some point in their lives, which the pain is often described as located between the base of the skull and the top of the shoulders. Nonetheless, symptoms of neck pain can vary depending on the underlying cause, but may include stiffness, muscle spasms, shooting or stabbing pain in your arms and hands, difficulty turning the head, and referred pain in the form of headache or shoulder/shoulder blade pain.

There are many possible causes of neck pain, including muscle strains or sprains, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis of the facet joints, and other spinal conditions. Other factors that can contribute to neck pain include poor posture, stress, and repetitive movements.

If you are experiencing neck pain, it is important to seek medical attention to determine the underlying cause and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Clinical assessment from our team and appropriate imaging (MRI, CT or X-rays) will help to identify the cause of your pain.
